juma cerámicas began during a challenging moment in my life when i felt the need to return to something that felt real and grounding. as a child, i was always happiest when i was creating with my hands, and when i started taking ceramics classes in amsterdam, that feeling came back instantly. moving to barcelona gave everything more space to grow. i spent countless hours in the studio, experimenting, shaping, trying things, letting my home slowly fill with pieces. at some point, it just felt right to start sharing them.

the way i work is very intuitive. i rarely begin with a fixed idea. inspiration comes from everyday things — walking through the city, a color, a texture, traveling, light. the shape often reveals itself only when my hands meet the clay. working with raw materials brings a quiet kind of calm. in a world that moves so fast, creating something slowly, with intention, feels like a small act of grounding.

i truly believe craftsmanship still matters. something made by hand carries a softness, a presence, a uniqueness that can’t be duplicated. it holds time, care, and a little piece of the person who made it.
